Management of innovation is a difficult issue in all countries with publicly financed health-care systems. In France, this is especially the case for certain cancer drugs. We will study the diffusion of Taxanes (Paclitaxel/Taxol and Docetaxel/Taxotere) used for breast cancer. We think that Taxanes is a very good example for studying issues related to the diffusion of expensive drugs that concern the following stakeholders: pharmaceutical industry, hospitals, clinicians and authorities.
